Text translation




To translate text, simply type in the text you want to translate in the box at the bottom of the screen or tap the microphone icon to speak it. You will see the translation appear in the box above. You can also tap the speaker icon to hear the translation aloud or tap the star icon to save it to your phrasebook. You can also copy, share, or delete the translation by tapping the three dots icon at the top right corner of the box.

To translate handwriting, tap the pen icon at the bottom right corner of the screen. You will see a blank space where you can draw text characters with your finger or a stylus. As you draw, you will see suggestions for possible characters appear at the top of the screen. You can tap them to select them or erase them by tapping the backspace icon. You will see the translation appear in the box above as you write. You can also use the same options as text translation to hear, save, copy, share, or delete the translation.


Conversation translation




To translate bilingual conversations on the fly, tap the conversation icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. You will see two microphone icons, one for each language. Tap the one that corresponds to the language you want to speak and start speaking. You will see the translation appear in the box above and hear it aloud. You can also tap the auto icon to let the app automatically detect the language of your speech. You can also use the same options as text translation to hear, save, copy, share, or delete the translation.


Live camera translation




To translate text in images instantly by pointing your camera at it, tap the camera icon at the bottom center of the screen. You will see a live view of your camera with a scan button at the bottom. Point your camera at the text you want to translate and tap the scan button. You will see the translation appear on the screen as an overlay on the original text. You can also tap the pause icon to freeze the image and tap any word to see its definition or alternative translations.
